Social Committee
The Founders Place Social Committee assists with planning events for all interested residents. Events include:
- Annual Block Party
- Wine and Beer Tastings (Wine on Wednesday)
- Dining Out
- Progressive Food Events
- Reading Groups
- Cards and Games
- Easter Egg Hunt
- Founders Place Lending Library
- Concerts and Theater Events
- Other Events as per the Committee and Resident Request
We partner with the Frankfort Community Center and Frankfort Township who assist in providing rooms for our events and meetings.
About every four (4) months we select a local restaurant and invite our residents to enjoy the local food and meet old friends and make new friends. Individual checks are provided.
Annually during the Easter season, we host an Easter Egg Hunt for our Founders Place Children and grandchildren under the age of 12.
Our lending library was designed and built by one of our residents. It is located inside the gazebo near the corner of Frankfort Main and Higley Court. Founders Place Lending Library has both adult and children’s books that have been donated! Take a book to read; return it when you are finished reading it -or- share it with a friend. If you have a book that you would like to donate, feel free to place it in the Founders Place Lending Library. There is a special place for dog treats for our “furry friends.”
Annually, the Board of Directors invite our adult residents to a Pizza Party to discuss our Founders Place social events to determine what is working and what residents would like to change or add.
About every six (6) weeks one of our residents' host Wine on Wednesdays. Our hosts provide appetizers/desserts and residents who attend bring a bottle of wine, beer, or their favorite non-alcoholic beverage to share.
Charitable Projects Committee
The Charitable Projects Committee organizes and hosts informational meetings with area non-political and non-denominational, not-for-profit organizations to increase awareness of services provided, volunteer opportunities and non-monetary needs of the organizations. The Charitable Projects Committee coordinates the collection of physical items to be donated to various not-for-profit, non-political, non-denominational agencies throughout the community. The Committee meets three to four times yearly. All residents are invited to attend our meetings.
Architectural Review Committee
The Architectural Review Committee reviews all changes residents would like to make to the exterior of their property. The review looks not only at the structural impact of the change, but also considers the rules and regulations of Founders Place as outlined in the governing documents of the Association.
Beautification Committee
Our residents take pride in our community. The beautification committee is a group of dedicated volunteers that help to beautify Founders Place. They work to enhance the entranceway gardens and help with seasonal decorations. We value their input and suggestions on needed changes.

Landscaping Committee
Each Spring we invite our residents to let the Board of Directors know of any landscaping issues or desired changes in the resident’s landscaping. A form is mailed to each homeowner every spring.
Annually, the Board of Directors, the Landscaping Committee along with our Landscaping company and our Arborist walk through our neighborhood reviewing all of the resident requests and all of our plants and trees for care and replacement.
All residents’ yards have a lawn irrigation sprinkler system. The yards are mowed weekly and snow removal occurs when there is 1inch or more of snow.
